Embracing solutions; A pathway to being part of the solution.
In the journey of life, we often encounter problems, challenges that we label as unsolvable. We acknowledge them, maybe complain, and then turn away, retreating to our own lives. But lately, I've realized that maybe the universe wants those who see problems to become channels for solutions.
Entrepreneurs and storytellers, they all speak of creations born from the desire to solve pressing problems. They take on challenges, piece together dismantled puzzles, and stumble upon life-changing innovations. I've decided to stop running from problems, to face the monsters I once avoided.
Complaints, a breakfast staple for many, especially in the third world where big dreams struggle to survive. Yet, amidst the difficulties, the world is filled with creations that make life better, born from people facing problems head-on.
Being part of the solution means understanding the problem profoundly. It involves setting aside our ego, removing the fog that clouds our vision. It takes effort to get our egos in check, to gain clarity in understanding and solving issues.
But are we truly looking at problems with an unbiased lens? It's easy to force our worldview onto issues, potentially creating more problems. Taking our ego out of the equation, understanding the actual facts, leads to clarity essential when crafting solutions.
In the era of democratized media, almost anyone can offer advice online. Yet, I wonder if we've strayed, posting about sensitive topics without the expertise or experience needed. The voices we truly need to hear might not embrace social media or garner the attention of the controversial.
Celebrating the lunar new year, I reflect on gratitude as a channel to be part of the solution. Gratefulness for each day, for what we have and the people around us, is a starting point. It's about savoring the journey and not projecting all happiness into the future.
Imagine taking a few more days to celebrate the end of a year, a habit of gratitude illuminating the path ahead. Imagination, often neglected, is a powerful tool. Nurturing it, whether through music, art, or writing, opens doors to creative solutions. As we strive to be part of the solution, let's not forget to nurture our imagination, for within it lies incredible solutions to the world's problems.
