Having grown up there, I ponder what catalyst will propel our continent forward. Africa, abundant in youth, nature, and resources, seems stagnant, trailing in healthcare, education, and innovation.
It's a perplexing contrast. Africa's richness stands tall, yet its absence in global realms weighs heavily. Misconceptions about Africa persist, I'm often amazed to explain to educated minds in China that it's a continent of diverse nations, not a monolith of wild landscapes. Who speaks for Africa? What narrative is woven about us? I believe healing must start from within. Africa's wounds from colonial scars echo in our governance, in unequal deals struck, in concealing our vibrant cultures beneath the veil of struggling facets.
